   We are now creating the 'cleanest' cup of coffee using a new eco-friendly roaster. With only three in the UK, the Kestrel S35 Loring Smart Roast uses 80% less natural gas and greatly reduces the amount of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.

     Loring Smart Roast manufactures coffee roasting equipment that uses its patented Flavor~Lock Roasting Technology™ to produce coffee with a much better taste than conventional, old-fashioned processes. The smokeless Flavor~Lock process seals off the coffee from ambient conditions and gently roasts the coffee beans in an atmosphere virtually free of oxygen, the enemy of great taste. The superb taste of coffee roasted using Flavor~Lock technology is attested to by many of the world’s leading artisan roasters.
 

     After having roasted on our faithful old Whitmee for the last fifty years, we were rather cautious to switch our processes to the Loring Smart Roaster, however, not only are we delighted with the control, we are afforded by being able to accurately repeat roast profiles time and time again to ensure consistency in the taste. More importantly, our customers up and down the country are raving about the results, saying the coffee tastes better than ever. We, too, have noticed a brighter cup! what's more, in today's 'green' era, we can sleep at night knowing we are doing our bit for the environment by dramatically reducing our energy consumption and carbon footprint.
